I am passionate about working with children and adults in order to help achieve their occupational goals in everyday activities (self-care, leisure, independent living and work), following injury or health challenges.
I enjoy working collaboratively and holistically with people on goals that are meaningful to them, so that they can improve their well-being, reach their potential and continue to lead fulfilling and happy lives.
I strongly value continued professional development and using evidence based practice to guide my decision making.
I have been privileged to work as an occupational therapist in a variety of settings over the past 14 years. Prior to working at PRS, I worked for 5 years in a Child Development Team, where my role included comprehensive and complex assessment, provision of individually tailored therapy programmes in home and kindergarten settings, group work, provision of specialist equipment, complex housing modifications. My previous experience also includes working in community child and adolescent mental health, adult mental health (inpatient and community settings), community services for adults and adult physical rehabilitation, in Ireland, the UK and New Zealand.
