Fiona specialises in therapy programs and assessments for children.
I believe that every child has potential that can be nurtured and coached to get the best possible outcome, regardless of the challenges they face.
As a physiotherapist I aim to tap into their strengths and overcome the weaknesses that may be described as a disability or injury. My philosophy is to adapt their home and learning environment so the family have a sustainable, therapeutic and rewarding experience which creates independence and prepares the individual for a healthy future in their adult life.
Fiona completed her Diploma of Physiotherapy in 1982 in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne Polytechnic.
Initially my Paediatric training and experience was gained at Great Ormond Street Hospital, London, Child Potential Unit Rotorua, Child Development Teams, Starship Children’s Hospital , Middlemore Paediatric Department. Since Dec 2007 I have subcontracted to PRS and continue to work part time at Child Development Service North Shore City as a Community Physiotherapist.
