Jane specialises in Training for Independence Programs for children, Training for Independence Advisory Services for adults and Single Discipline Assessments for adults and children.
I work from a Strengths Based Framework which recognises the experience and knowledge all parents possess, and aim to harness and build on this. I aim to strengthen community based services and natural supports in a family’s life so that they are able to continue parenting their children into happy and productive adulthood.
Jane completed her Masters in Social work (applied, 2nd class honours) at Massey University in 2003.
I have been working as a social worker for approximately 28 years. This includes care and protection and youth justice work with children and young people, health sector child disability, NGO in the Deaf community and self employed. I am a parent of three adult children, between ages 20 and 24 including one with Down syndrome.
