Speech and Language Therapists
Jenni specialises in Education Based Rehabilitation Services and Single Discipline Assessments for children. She works in the areas of feeding, speech, language and communication.
I passionately believe everyone has the right to communicate their needs, wants, opinions, wishes and dreams whether that be with their own voice or through use of augmentative communication. I believe everyone has the right to safe and enjoyable eating and drinking experiences. I enjoy being able to support and empower children and their families, to maximise their potential across all areas I work in as part of an experienced team.
Jenni completed her B Sc Speech Language Pathology, University of Strathclyde, Glasgow Scotland, 1998. She then completed a Post graduate course in Paediatric dysphagia in 2001. Hanen qualified, completed SOS training (feeding) and is P.E.C.S trained. Is a member of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) in the UK and NZSTA in New Zealand.
Beginning her career in Scotland; Jenni worked for two years as a generalist for adults and paediatric populations with a specific interest in feeding difficulties and special needs. Continuing to specialise in these areas, working across all areas in the paediatric setting (homes, kindergartens, main stream and special schools). Jenni has worked in New Zealand for 13 years in a variety of settings, (The Ministry of Education, and CCS Disability Action) and has been with the PRS team since 2009.
