Mandy graduated in 1995 with a Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
My aim as an Occupational Therapist is to assist clients to achieve and/or maintain maximum levels of independence in all areas of their lives (social, work and leisure) and to work together with clients and their families to assist them in achieving their goals.
I enjoy meeting people in a variety of different settings and have an interest in working with people presenting with difficulties following brain injury. I also endeavor to provide a high quality of assessment services for clients and their respective funding agencies.
I graduated in 1995 with a Diploma in Occupational Therapy. Since this time I have worked in a variety of occupational therapy roles in both in-patient and community based settings. I have primarily worked with ACC clients throughout my career which has included working with clients with musculoskeletal injuries, traumatic brain injury and chronic pain conditions. I have worked under a variety of ACC contracts including vocational rehabilitation, Training for Independence, comprehensive pain assessments and activity based programmes and completing social rehabilitation assessments/equipment for independence. In 2007 I completed a Post Graduate diploma in Rehabilitation and am currently working towards a Masters in Health Science.
